Prove it

Well, I have greatly appreciated all the comments of everyone trying to bestow their wisdom on me, but some *cough*paige*cough* caught my attention. So here is a quiz to prove that some of these facts just will not prove pertinent in future lifetimes. If you can answer these questions without using google or any other source you will prove your point >:)

1. What man was in charge of the potomac army during the civil war?

2. What was the location of the single bloodiest day in America?

3. After what battle was Stonewall Jackson shot by his own men?

4. What was the three part strategy of the North to win the war?

5. What is the Anaconda plan?

So, whoever answers all these correctly will prove to me that history is still somewhat important.

school = despair

After a lovely four day weekend for D-Now, my life returns to normal. Normal means school. School means despair. Despair means depression. Oh, wait, wasn't that school thing supposed to help you learn? Prepare for college? So you can succeed in your future career? For some reason I don't see how learning civil war history will help me in the art world. And let me tell you, there is about a 100,000,000,000,000 to 1 chance I will end up teaching history. Yet still I attend day after day, freezing in my uniform too thin to keep me warm. What a wonderful life.

The white sweatshirt...and other disappointments in my life

Ah 'tis a new year...full of new memories and new disappointments. Being depressed quite alot this last year, I have decided to reflect on my disappointments.
#1: School/sports-School was a huge disappointment this year, from my friends leaving, to new volleyball team to adjust to. Varsity sports are a big thing at my school, enough said. So when a certain mom denied my order for a sweatshirt color because it was "Varsity Only," I was, at the most, completely offended.
#2: People/myself-This year people have been people. They have insulted, hurt, and annoyed me till i wanted to strangle them. But the bigger disappointment has been myself. I look back and hate what I was at the beginning of last year. Not open to new friendships, judgmental, I am surprised I even had friends.
#3:Her-That one friend that's not quite a friend. The girl that changes like a chameleon with every friend. When you finally get to her true self, you are sad, because she wasn't brave enough to show you it in the first place. And then the friendship isn't worth it.

XD

Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring,
except for a mouse!

Just a little brown mouse,
tiny and small,
who liked to eat cheese
and lived in a wall.

He did not like Christmas,
the gifts they were sappy,
of all the presents
none made him happy

One day before Christmas,
he thought to himself,
what if he asked Santa,
if he needed help?

On the very night
the Santa would come,
the mouse was all ready
to leave his dear home.

Soon he heard a sound,
from the fireplace,
and instead of a fire
a black boot it replaced.

A boot soon a single pair,
with some red cloth,
and a tiny white mouse
with a tiny cough.

The brown mouse squeaked
not out of fright but fury,
how could that mouse be there
all perfect and furry?

When Santa turned round,
the mouse tried to hide
but the white mouse squeaked warning
and made Santa jump surprised.

“Well what is this?”
Santa said with a smile,
the brown mouse sighed,
“Its not worth your while.”

“Come on young fellow,”
Santa said with persistence
the brown mouse embarrassed said,
“I need your assistance.”

He scampered up Santa's arm,
stretched to reach his ear,
and whispered a plan
very clever and dear.

Santa chuckled with cheer,
and stood up with jolly,
“I bet I can help
this plan with no folly.”

Soon after the presents,
where put in their place,
the brown mouse climbed up
to the white mouse's space.

The white mouse turned,
and said with a grin,
“Welcome aboard,
up here your my kin.”

The brown mouse sighed,
and started to cry
“Whats wrong,” said Otis
“Why do you sigh?”

“I have no name.”
said the brown mouse with sadness,
“Well that cannot do
you will be called Agnes.”

“Agnes?”said the brown mouse
“I quite like that name!”
“Then it shall be yours
you can wear it to fame.”

When Santa was finished,
and climbed in the sleigh,
the mice were ready
in every manner and way.

“I'm Agnes!” the mouse cried,
and Santa laughed with glee
“Hello, I'm Santa
and I'm glad your happy.”

Santa pulled on the reins,
the sleigh lifted so light
and the mice squeaked happily
“And to all a good night!”
